Spanish children are lucky as they get presents twice. The Spanish believe in Father Christmas, and he may bring a child a couple of presents on 25 December. But the more important day is 6th January, with the arrival of the three kings (los tres reyes), bearing gifts.
The evening of the 5th January will be a celebration (another excuse for a party!) and the children receive their gifts the next day. There will be a procession through the streets in most towns, with the kings throwing sweets for the children.
In some towns children will then go to church to receive a gift from the kings.
