Most people do not understand the meaning of holistic and think that it is just a fad but in fact it is a reality that is silently growing around the world and will be here for a very long time. HOT PETS!
This time of the year is when our pets are at the greatest risk of heat-related problems. So, on a serious note this month here are some ideas to help your pet stay cool.

First Golden Rule - NEVER, EVER leave your pet in a PARKED CAR - Not even if you crack the windows or park in the shade. On a 21°C day, the car temperature can rise above 65°C in minutes. It's EXTREMELY dangerous. And the Number One cause of heatstroke. Not only that you will cook your pet! If in doubt leave them at home.
Always provide a Plentiful supply of Fresh Water - Dogs can only sweat through the pads of their feet and by panting. Evaporation from the wet surfaces of their mouth and nose helps lower body temperature. MORE CLICK HERE.

Flies and Keeping Animals
Well it appears that we are in for a scorcher this summer, after being washed away with 3 weeks of rain we have fell straight into the heat and along came the Mosquitoes and flies!

Flies, if you keep animals, are the bain of our lives, especially if you keep horses, goats, chickens, dogs etc or even a pig or two and I have even known someone that kept a couple of sheep!, many of us have come over here and cannot live without our animals, I know we couldn’t! For us we have kept down the population of flies by installing 4 fly traps around our home and land and this has certainly helped tremendously by not only reducing the breeding cycle of the fly but also reducing the amount about, the flies seem to come in waves, first we had big juicy black ones, then little ones with white bodies, we then had blue bottles, now the horse flies have arrived, these are the ones that have a stripe on their bodies and they pack a punch when they bite you. Pets for Living in Apartments, Small Homes and Caravans
Living in a caravan, apartment, or a small house doesn't always mean you can't have pets, although some campsites and communities do not allow dogs or cats (which are obvious choices) there are guidelines you should follow.

Please take into account the amount of time and energy you can devote to your pet and the needs your pet will have before embarking on selecting your species. There are many to choose from and whilst a small dog (Or even a large one) is a big No, No in many establishments and a cat might be a maybe you must not despair. If you miss having an animal of some sort in your life since living here then read on. Cats are the obvious choice as cats have the advantage of being very comfortable indoors and easily housetrained. Hi everyone, wow what a weekend we had, thank you to everyone that came and talked to us, the support and compliments were great, it was a very busy weekend and I was quite hoarse by the end of it, for those of you who are still curios about our ingredients I have listed below what is in our Robbie’s natural food and why we use them.
