Most Spanish bank accounts have an online banking facility and it’s usually possible to view the website in English.
Spanish online banking isn’t as advanced as UK online banking and visits to your branch are still often necessary, depending on which Spanish bank you use. However, you can usually view your account, set up direct debits, manage your savings and investments, and order currency and chequebooks.
Spanish banks are very fond of offering points and prizes to encourage you to use their facilities (very reminiscent of petrol coupons with rewards of picnic sets, electrical items and bits and pieces for the home that you really don’t need!).
Choosing a bank that offers on-line banking in English is also a good idea.
