Adsubia and Forna
Adsubia is a municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta in the north of the province of Alicante. The village has 668 inhabitants.
The municipality is enclaved in the Pego Valley and is formed by the nuclei of Adsubia and Forna. The neighboring municipalities are: Villalonga and Oliva to the north; Oliva and Pego to the east; Vall de Gallinera and Villalonga to the west; and Vall de Gallinera and Pego and to the south.
It has mild Mediterranean climate.
Adsubia is of moorish origins and there are still many remains of the Moorish culture.
Adsubia and Forna had a different population center that merged in the year 1911. They are two villages who have big variety of landscape, a rich cultural heritage with the castle and the Canalobres cove with a recreational zone and camping site in Tossal del Llop, and trekking routes.
Fornas population center is very well conserved and still has remained its Moorish style.
The economy of the village is based on agriculture, construction and tourism.
The fiestas of Adsubia take place in the first week of September honoring Virgen del Rosario and Cristo del Milagro.
In Forna the fiestas take place in the second half of August honoring San Bernardo and San Antonio.
