If you plan to run your own bar or restaurant it will be subject to health and safety inspections and you will need to obtain a licence.
Any premises in Spain that serves food has to have both a technical and health inspection to ensure safety rules are being adhered to. Employees handling food also need to have a food handler’s certificate.
And don’t forget the licence you will need to open your business (licencia de apertura) which can take up to 6 months to be granted.
