Garages (garajes-talleres)

Always keep your vehicle regularly maintained and serviced to try and avoid costly repairs.

Services are carried out at main dealers or local garages.  Going to a local garage will be much cheaper, both for servicing and repairs, although you’re likely to need to speak Spanish.  Repairs are usually of a high standard but may take longer than you expect.

Garages don’t usually provide courtesy cars so you will need to hire a car if you can’t manage without one for a few days or walk everywhere!

Garages often close for the siesta period in the afternoon and during fiesta days.

Your local petrol station should offer basic spare parts such as bulbs, windscreen wipers, dust caps, cleaning materials and oil.
